We spend most of our lives on the ground, where we view the day through the subjectivity of our own individual circumstances - at the mercy of the prevailing mood - gloom or glow.
And yet above the clouds, we all know that it is a beautiful day.

This thought was given to me while taking a far too frequent business flight, away from the comfort of my own home and loved ones, towards all sorts of imagined hostilities.

The thought temporarily relieved the anxiety and helped me to see that it is always a beautiful day - above and below the clouds. It reminded me of a similar occasion when I opened a book randomly and experienced a similar uplifting on seeing the words: -

"When you face the sun,
the shadows fall behind you."
